Podcast: Dragons with ties
Children see
Children understand
Children get angry and react to injustice.
Androniki, a student of grade E of the 2nd primary school of Neapoli, Lassithi, wanted to give her message loudly through the song she wrote herself (lyrics and music), pursuing a soft, silky, coloured world just like her mother’s lullaby.
The school’s music teacher was by her side to cheer her on, to encourage her, to guide her.

Lyrics:
All the world’s joys may adorn you with light.
with colored candies
your mouth to be filled.
Inside castles elves and fairies
may embrace you
in pools of candy
mermaids approaching
Mother I grow taller and I grow up
and I see dragons with ties
who look at me with hypocrisy
and treat me to misery/injustice
That’s why I get angry, mother, I get angry
in their ‘musts’ I set fire
and I get stubborn fighting only
to take back our humanity.
Sleep my darling
on soft silk
scented with Rosemary
that I have kept for you
Roses on your pillow
Embroidered with feathers
So you can dream sweetly
my beloved baby
Mother I grow taller and I grow up
and I see dragons with ties
who look at me with hypocrisy
and treat me to misery/injustice
I hold the quitar I hold the violins
and I get into the schools
with love and dreams to live
all the children of the world
I hold the quitar I hold the violins
and I get into the schools
with love and dreams to live
all the children of the world
