Podcast: Like Dog with Cat: Animals Stories in the Art World
Palantzian RadioArt, the newly established radio team of the Keratsini-Drapetsona Art High School, made their first radio show at the European School Radio, the first student radio, with the subject: “Like Dog with Cat: Animals Stories in the Art World”.
From the Greek folk proverbs to the cartoon birds of Arka, from the Aristophanes’ Birds to the modern best seller “The Hen who dreamed of flying” of the South Koreans Xuan Shi Mi, the Ugly Duck of the Danish Hans Cristian Andersen and the world-famous fairy-tale of the Wolf with the Little Red Riding Hood or the police novel “Who killed the dog at midnight” and the Swan Lake with the sad Prince Zigriff, animals “steal the show” into the world of Art in all its forms by teaching, advising, revealing through their ethos and spirit, truths about the world of people.
The radio show was recorded in the studio of the National Library of Greece (at Stavros Niarchos Culture Center) and is a creative activity of pupils and students of the 1st Lyceum Class in the framework of the participation of the Keratsini-Drapetsona Art School in the program “Radio Pages – The National Library in the Radiowaves of European School Radio” with Iouliani Vroutsi (Literature teacher) as responsible teacher
