Description:
Participation of the 13th Dim. Palaio Faliro in the “Make it heard” 2023 competition with the theme: “The new generation for Peace”.
The students discussed their ideas on the topic of Peace, they drew, danced and sang songs. The lyrics are actually based on their own ideas. Under their music teacher’s guidance they created a melodic ostinato using an application on the internet. They played musical instruments such as violoncello, keyboard, boom whackers, metallophone, xylophone, tambourine, body percussion and pencil drumming.
Like a kid at school
the game i was looking for
but as if I was starting to play
I was constantly fighting.
Even if I asked for peace,
pistol i dreamed-
all thieves and policemen,
I used to play like that all the time.
Enough of this mistake
and let us fight with passion
evil to stop
and may peace prevail.
You read history
since the beginning of the world,
one thing you notice
sad but true:
They say they want peace,
but they’re talking about war
and they lose their right
starting evil.
With love and sympathy
let the discord end.

and peace reign.
All peace accords
and if countries sign,
always the same pattern,
vicious circle like a dance.
Like kids kissing
and they argue again,
in war how they dive
the murky, black waters.
Enough of this mistake
and let us fight with passion
evil to stop
and may peace prevail.
Interests think
how they are won with blood,
and they don’t see how it is
he continues the same lie.
Poverty, hunger, misery
and death they spread,
hate, fear and discord,
so what’s the benefit?
