Description of procedure
The children of the 6th grade of the 3rd Palouriotissa Primary School, submit the song “Peace” to the Radio and Music Student Contest “Make it heard 2023”.
The lyrics of the song were written by the children of the 6th grade in the Greek and Health Education course through the War and Peace Unit.
The children tried to send their own message and their own voice, using lyrical strategies such as rhyming, emotion-related vocabulary and creating visual and auditory images aimed at raising awareness among listeners.

In the Music lesson the children worked in groups and tried to create melodies with their voices that fit the lyrics they wrote and express the feelings they wanted to convey. Each group presented their thoughts to the whole class and the children created a melody taking ideas from the groups’ creations. The Music teacher played the melody on the piano and the children made suggestions for changes. Then they put the corresponding chords.
The song was then recorded.
