Description:
Our school’s radio team consists of 13-18 year old students. It is animated and coordinated by a team of two teachers, a musician and a philologue. The teachers guide the group in order to cultivate critical thinking, freedom of speech, authentic creation, spontaneity, the development of skills in written and oral speech, music creation and interpretation and the connection of speech, music and science through the involvement of students with the recording and editing of sound.
Within an environment of enthusiasm, cooperation, respect and solidarity, the students worked in groups composing their own texts and rhythmic, harmonic and melodic patterns. Within two months and through a creative collage, the song “Traveler” emerged, which, under the coordination of the teachers, was recorded, edited and reached its final form by the student team.
