Together we are strong

The children of the 6th grade of Tamasos Regional Primary School sing about the value of WE against I, so that together we can save our world. The lyrics of the song reflect the quintessence of our school: our relationship with nature, the bonds between the children and the cooperation of teachers, associates and students in Tamasos Primary School.

The lyrics of the song were written collectively by the 6th graders during the quarantine enforced by Covid-19 (January 2021). The long-term absence from their beloved school made their desire to meet again increasingly stronger. A closer look at the lyrics they co-wrote reveals their need to come close and create together again.

Our song “Together we are strong” became our anthem, sung so truly and authentically by the children of our school. It brings hope and optimism, smiles and a will for change. This song was made with a lot of love by the children of the 6th grade of the school with the inspiring guidance of the English teacher Polymnia Tomasidou and with the decisive contribution to the composition, interpretation and rough recording by the songwriter George Vlamis. We hope that when conditions allow, we will have the opportunity to record it in a studio. In addition, they made electronic and handwritten posters during the language lesson with their teacher Maria Argyrou.

The whole process we followed was full of new experiences, skills, emotions and self-awareness …
