Podcast: Let me live

The fourth grade students represent our school and their thoughts became the song ‘Let me live”

The students filled in a form about peace. Their answers became lyrics by the guidance of the teachers. The school music teacher composed the original music.

Let me live
I turn on the TV and watch the news
my heart is clenched with all these conversations
no more with this tragedy
i have no words nor rhyme
bombs are falling like rain on houses and shop windows
the people are running to hide
the air raid sirens are deafening
the rich become richer and the poor sadder
but why cant people live happily together?

Let me live my life from the scratch
wanna have a sun that warms my soul
and so i will make a beautiful song
Let me live whatever i crave for
what i ask for is to dream
a garden with slides and strawberry ice cream

All the little ones know it
in order to have peace we have to share our every game
that’s why we sat down one day all together
and we decided to make a new start
but all the children of the world have a pure soul
so we designed a transparent peace
in it there will be no evil nor bullying
only kindness, courtesy, respect

Let me live my live from the scratch
wanna have a sun that warms my soul
and so i will make a beautiful song
Let me live in the yard of peace
where we will plant the tree of life
and all together, eternal celebration, we’ll eat a whipped cream cake
and chocolate croissant
