The Rolling Stones are one of the most important British rock bands that became popular during the “British Invasion” in the early 60s. Their style is based on rock and roll. The band was formed in London in 1962 by original leader Brian Jones, but eventually the collaboration of singer Mick Jagger and guitarist Keith Richards, who wrote lyrics and songs, prevailed.Pianist Ian Stewart, drummer Charlie Watts and bassist Bill Wyman completed the band’s line-up.
The Rolling Stones have more than 55 albums to their credit and have topped the UK and US charts 32 times. They have sold more than 200 million copies, worldwide.
