Production: Let’s travel around the world!
Description:
The idea to participate in the European School Radio Contest started as a way to motivate our preschool students to practise their English, which, for the first time ever, is implemented in the Greek curriculum of State Preschool Education. We are also part of an eTwinning project with partners from Italy and Spain and through this project, we have been “travelling” to other parts of the world. The students have “met” friends, they have exchanged emails and letters and, therefore, the contest perfectly aligned with our goals-to integrate the teaching of English in a meaningful and fun way and develop our multicultural identity. The preschool teachers along with the English teacher and their four different classes decided that taking part in a contest would be an ideal way to do that and this is how our participation took form. The students worked hard for the outcome and enjoyed the whole process. Our recording is the result of a collaboration among students from four classes who talk about the means of transport, the places and the reasons we travel. So, don’t be surprised when you hear a number of different voices! It’s the little learners reminding us why we love travelling. We hope we will motivate you to start experiencing new things through trips!
