Production: The journey is here

Description:

Dear Organizers,
We are from the Special Junior High School of Thessaloniki. This year our school has 65 students in 4 grades. In November, we decided to participate in this year’s competition “Kanto n’akoustei 2022” with students from three of our classes. We wanted to deliver a message of optimism and hope through our song, while also broaching ecology related subjects. Despite the constant difficulties that all of us encounter because of the pandemic, we can always find a getaway thanks to our imagination and natural beauty that surrounds us.
The song’s lyrics, “ The trip is here” ,were written by the pupils of the class C1, under the guidance of Evangelia Rentzia and Elisavet Tsekouraki. The music professor Ioannis Poulianitis composed the melody and finally the song was sung by a group of seven students. Then, with the encouragement and guidance of the teachers in charge of the program, a video clip was created to invest it with images. Pupils of the team participated in the creation of the video, selecting photos and illustrations that match the song’s message, typing subtitles, developing their ICT skills. Our poster was drawn by Seri Pagoni (class B3)
We all are very happy and enthusiastic about our participation. Although the technical feasibility of our effort is limited (the means for recording and filming were amateur) as we lack professional equipment and the conditions were difficult because of the COVID-19 pandemic (often absence of pupils and teachers), we believe that our message is STRONG!
Educational Officers of the Program and Participation in the Student Radio Competition: Evangelia Rentzia, Alexia Leventara, Athanasia Giagkou
Professor of Music: Ioannis Poulianitis
WE WANT TO COMPETE IN THE CAREGORY WITH SPECIAL SCHOOLS.
