“In collectivity there is strength”

Description:

The students of the sixth grade of the 9th Elementary School of Alimos decided in collaboration with their teacher to participate in the competition of the European School Radio entitled “Make it heard!” An issue that always troubled them – and the opportunity was given through this competition- was the egocentrism that characterizes many people around us in many activities of their daily lives. Egocentrism that is seen through their indifference towards the environment (pollution of the seas, destruction of forest wealth…) but also for their fellow human beings. Thus, began the creation of lyrics that had deep meanings hidden within them, such as individualism, loneliness and isolation.
After a lot of contemplation, the solution began to be discerned and in which there were hidden meaningful concepts such as collectivity, mutual assistance and the presence of a large number of people. The selfishness hidden behind the “Ego” of every human being faded, disappeared like a cloud of smoke and gradually love, tenderness and friendship appeared… All the above features were formulated by creating a poster, inspired by the students themselves. Hands intertwined signify cooperation and collectivity in contrast with the isolation and fear, reflected through the figure of the lonely man.
