Podcast: LETTERS FROM PEACE
A song composed for the
Make it Heard 2023 – Youth for Peace song contest
Ιnspiration for our song came from articles about the unaccompanied children of the war. An incident of a little girl who stumbled, fell and burst into tears on her way to a children’s shelter caught the class’s attention.
LETTERS FROM PEACE
Ι stumbled, fell and burst into tears because of Peace’s lost letters.
I find scribbles in every letter that I open.
It feels like unfolding an endless skein.
While I look for answers I understand that I am holding people’s torments in my hands.
When the unfolding is over I start knitting for the children of war.
A blanket, a warm embrace.
