The Student Radio (http://europeanschoolradio.eu/ ) and the Interregional Thematic Network Internet Safety (https://isecurenet.sch.gr/portal/) are joining forces for the 2022-23 school year, collaborating to mutually promote their actions in the educational community.

“European School Radio, the first Student Radio” has been operating since 2010, with the aim of expanding the use of radio in education. The Student Internet Radio is utilized in the context of disseminating the rich educational work that develops inside and outside the classroom and achieves the initiation of its members in the management and creation of audio content through the participatory process. The involvement of students extends to all stages of radio development, as they participate in either technical support or broadcast production teams.

The Interregional Thematic Network Safety on the Internet is a Thematic Network of one thousand (1000+) public and private schools, Preschool, Primary and Secondary Education, licensed by the Regional Directorates of Primary and Secondary Education, and with a Cooperation Agreement between Regional Educational Centers of Planning (PE.KE,S.) of the country. It was founded and has been operating since 2014 until today, as a voluntary, non-funded project that aims to inform – train teachers, in experiential education with the active participation of students, but also their parents, for the safe use of the Internet, types, ways, and risk prevention practices in relation to social networks but also other emerging technologies and phenomena.

For the 2022-23 school year, the two partners decided to collaborate in order to jointly plan, implement and disseminate educational actions, (remotely or in person), to students, teachers, education officials, and parents on radio and safety issues on the Internet.

In addition, the cooperation will be extended to the areas of implementation of competitions, implementation of scientific research with their publication in scientific conferences and journals, the joint planning and collaborative development of actions, and finally their dissemination in the mass media (electronic and printed).
