Edipsos, Kindergarten of Avlonari, Kindergarten of Ag. Apostoloi, 1st Kindergarten of Vathi Avlidas & Refugee Structure, 4th Kindergarten of Vasiliko, Kindergarten of Dystos, Kindergarten of Mantoudi, 2nd Kindergarten of N. Artakis, Kindergarten of Neochori, Kindergarten of Palioura, Kindergarten of Pili, Kindergarten of Fylla, 4th Kindergarten of Chalkida, 14th Kindergarten of Chalkida, 23rd Kindergarten of Chalkida, 33rd Kindergarten of Chalkida. Coordinators are the teachers Douma Lilian and Samoutian Margarita.
The teams have as motive the devastating fires in Evia, which took place during the summer of 2019. As a result, 42 teachers, with their 450 students and their families, from various parts of the county, were triggered to create a joint action plan. The title of the project consists of a play of words, combining the Greek word “forest” with SOS. The accurate translation of the project name is “In Evia forest all together, the little bee, me and you!”. Through a series of targeted actions, all the stakeholders promote ecological balance through the development of social relationships for environmental well-being. The contest organized by the European School Radio is an opportunity to spread their message. The creation of the song was based on a school chain, where each kindergarten added lyrics related with the topics chosen by the students’ group. Teachers encouraged preschoolers to continue each part. Moreover, one of the main goals of this attempt was to involve the local community in the project actions. Eventually, Nikos Georgiou composed the song in collaboration with Christos Psychogios on guitar. Students from all kindergartens sang the lyrics and the song was performed by Sofia Stavropoulou.
